Term 2 marked Rise Up’s first Ping Pong Tournament, a student-led event inspired by the popularity of the ping pong table. Students shaped an activity they were passionate about, resulting in a friendly student-versus-teacher contest.
Over three days, students and teachers vied for the Ping Pong Champion title, fostering a fun, inclusive atmosphere where teamwork and sportsmanship strengthened relationships and boosted engagement within the school community.

Students proudly claimed the 2026 Ping Pong Champion title!
Beyond the competition, the tournament provided opportunities for students to build positive relationships with both peers and staff in a fun and supportive environment. By creating spaces for connection outside the classroom, Rise Up continues to strengthen students’ sense of belonging, helping young people feel more connected, engaged and supported within the school community.
What students love about the Rise Up Program:
“I think it’s about really about having the opportunity to lead and represent the community in a way where you can make real change to the school environment”. Year 10 student
