The BHP Pilbara Education Partnership Early Years Strategy seeks to increase parent and caregiver awareness of developmental services available to their children and increase the participation of those services.
The Partnership recently coordinated a Flourishing Families event to showcase the success of the Early Learning Programs in connecting families with schools, health, and community organisations. The event enabled over 20 local families to access early years services, allied health professionals, and community support in a play-based setting, increasing their confidence in seeking support.

Allied Health professionals and Multicultural Health Connect offered information about free clinics, referral pathways, and interpreting services, while the Town of Port Hedland Libraries promoted early literacy programs and helped families join the library. Early Learning Program Coordinators provided hands-on learning activities and supported parent-child engagement.
The event strengthened partnerships among service providers, enhancing ongoing collaboration and helping families become more engaged and connected within the community.
