This year, three students in the Working for Success program have secured School-Based Traineeships. One of these students, Tia-May Clarke-Taylor, is a Year 10 participant at Hedland Senior High School. Throughout the year, she has collaborated with staff to improve her academic performance, maintain positive class outcomes, and set goals for her future pathways. Tia-May has secured a School-Based Traineeship with the Public Affairs team at the Town of Port Hedland, taking on a business administration role. Over Terms 2 and 3, she completed a 10-week work placement, gaining valuable experience and developing skills in technology, administration, critical thinking, communication, public speaking, and time management. She is currently working towards completing her Certificate II in Workplace Skills.

With support from the BHP Pilbara Education Partnership, students at Hedland Senior High School in the Success program are developing valuable workplace-ready skills to facilitate their transition from school to the workforce or further training.
