The Rise Up program at Newman Senior High School aims to highlight individual student achievement through engagement in various programs. Through the programs, students set goals, improve connections with the community, and receive positive reinforcement.
Student voice is a key aspect of the program, with Newman Senior High School students actively suggesting activities where students can explore their interests and build new skills. Activities such as hidden prizes, choir, volleyball, brain teasers, table tennis, interactive games, bingo and escape room create a sense of belonging, and provide opportunity for students to build and strengthen friendships with peers in safe, supportive spaces.
Throughout 2025 the program has seen a steady increase in participation and engagement from students.
