Collaborating for Future Pathways

The Rise Up program helps students build leadership skills. Recently at Hedland Senior High School, Year 6 students joined peer leaders for activities that strengthened teamwork, confidence, and community connection.

Newman Senior High School is opening doors for Year 10 Life Skills students through its Pathways program, offering White Card certification in partnership with Yalagan Registered Training.

This nationally recognised credential gives students the edge by granting access to construction sites, building essential safety skills, and boosting confidence with online learning platforms. By investing in microcredentials like the White Card, the school is preparing students for success whether they’re entering the workforce, studying through SIDE, or engaging in school-based training.

Thanks to Yalagan’s expert delivery and hands-on interviews where students must demonstrate their knowledge of workplace safety and PPE, students in Newman are gaining real-world knowledge that sets them apart.
