Preparing for Career Pathways 

Recently, students completed a Certificate II in Leadership, focusing on self-awareness, communication, and teamwork. Additionally, they developed job-ready skills in work health and safety and food hygiene, preparing them for the workforce and post-education pathways.

The Success Program at Hedland Senior High School, supported by the BHP Pilbara Education Partnership, provides students with targeted support to gain knowledge, skills and learning experiences to assist them to make informed decisions about their future.  

Recently all students from the Success program completed their Certificate II in Leadership. The Certificate II in Leadership focuses on the development of intra and interpersonal skills, increasing self-awareness and developing communication and teamwork skills through project activities.  

The students from Working for Success have also undertaken skill development in preparation for entering the workforce through learning and applying the basics of work health and safety as well as food safety hygiene.  

These opportunities provided to students in the Success Program means that students acquire new job ready skills and are aware of post education pathways that are available to them.
