National Careers Week saw students from Newman Senior High School embark on a trip to Karratha, unlocking their career curiosity.

The trip provided students with the opportunity to try different trades and visit a regional Career Expo. The Try-a-Trade training experience included careers in construction, engineering fabrication, sport and recreation, civil construction, community services, hair dressing, tourism, and automation. This was a fantastic opportunity for students to speak directly with trainers linked to industry-based learning. At the Career Expo, students were able to explore, ask questions and experience a vast variety of interactive activities providing insight into current and future careers. Students came away inspired and knowledgeable, equipping them to make informed decisions about their individual pathways.
