The Early Years team launched the ‘Emu Run’ during NAIDOC week. The run is a coordinated opportunity for service providers to visit early childhood learning programs, centres, playgroups and organisations, to increase the awareness for families of where and how they can access child development services.

Coordinated by the Partnership Family Liaison Officer, in collaboration with the Hedland Early Years Network, the run provides opportunity for service providers to connect with up to 70 families across a week, sharing information about their service and providing a contact person within that service. Families are also able to indicate which services they are needing to access, and be supported by the Family Liaison Officer to connect with the services.

The Emu Run will take place every 3 months across Port Hedland.
