Successful Pathways for Hedland Students

The Hedland Senior High School Success Program provides skills and training for students who benefit from additional wraparound support, rather than mainstream schooling.

The Hedland Senior High School Success Program provides skills and training for students who benefit from additional wraparound support, rather than mainstream schooling.

The program seeks active collaboration with employers to create increased pathways opportunities including work experience placements, traineeships and apprenticeships. These collaborations are resulting in students being placed in work experience, with some being offered full time pathway opportunities.

Cody Hingston has secured an apprenticeship with Truck Centre WA, as a heavy diesel mechanic. Cody is the second Success Program student to commence an apprenticeship with Truck Centre, and is the fourth student from his Success Program class to secure an apprenticeship or traineeship.

Congratulations Cody!
