Hedland Senior High School students Rising Up in the local community

There are many different school classes, ranging from basic required courses to elective “passion projects.”

Students at Hedland Senior High School have been working towards achieving Rise Up points, with some students increasing community engagement hours.

These students have volunteered their time for a number of different sporting organisations around town, including Port Hedland Netball Association’s Net Set Go Program, Hedland Reds Auskick, Hedland Taekwondo Club and Hedland School of Dance. It’s fantastic to see the Hedland Senior High School students so actively engaged with their local community.

“Connecting our students to the local community and supporting and acknowledging an ethos of service, are key components of the Rise Up Program.”
