Newman Primary School Early Learning Program

Jaci Kilburn, Newman Primary School Early Learning Program Coordinator, has transformed a classroom into the newly furnished BHP Early Learning Program for all Newman children aged 0 to 4 and their families to enjoy and learn.

Jaci greets everyone by name as they arrive; the morning routine begins by children hanging their bags on the ‘big school’ racks and finding their photos in the themed attendance register.  Each week families eagerly await the exciting craft activities that have been planned and prepared for them. Jaci is an inspired educator who has so much to offer the Pilbara Education Partnership. With the welcome support of the Remote School Attendance Strategy (RSAS) Newman, the program meets the needs of increasing attendance numbers by running different age group sessions and a group for Aboriginal families.
